Maryam Gharbi, one of our parents, has nominated our very own Colleen Paulk for the honor of performing in Ballet Austin’s The Nutcracker production on Dec. 23.

We have long treasured Colleen. Her students LOVE her and graduate from her advanced kindergarten-readiness class more than prepared for school. But don’t take our word for it. This is what Maryam had to say:

In appreciation of our wonderful Stepping Stone Pre-K Teacher Ms. Colleen, we have nominated Ms. Colleen Paulk for a role as Mother Ginger in The Nutcracker performance by Ballet Austin. We wanted to honor our favorite teacher and our favorite Austinite who had made great contributions to many families in our community.

Ms. Colleen Paulk with over twenty something years of experience in education has helped her students in early stages to establish a solid foundation for their future and embrace the leadership quality, team playing, self confidence, love of reading, and excitements of science and math. She created an opportunity for each one of her students to shine and make them feel special in their own way and allow them to practice skills of observation, the correct vocabulary and practice on how to ask questions, and the foundation of good scientific thinking.

In addition, Ms. Colleen Paulk has been a great contributor and fundraiser for several non-profit organizations such as Anni’s Way and Just Because, helping our needy and disadvantage families in our community. I cannot think of anyone more deserving than her to be recognized for all she does for everyone everyday.
