Easter Baskets to Make with Your Child!

These easy to make baskets are the perfect activity to welcome spring!

 

 Tissue Box Basket 

Materials: construction paper, glue, scissors, stapler, empty cube tissue boxes or other small boxes, ribbon, and markers or crayons 

Preparation: 

based on the age of the children 

Directions: 

1. Cut top or flaps off boxes 

2. Decorate using paper, glue, markers, and ribbon. 

3. Cut a handle and attach 

 Paint Stamped Basket 

Materials: construction paper, scissors, stapler, paper bags, paints, and cookie cutters or other shapes 

Preparation: 

based on the age of the children 

Directions: 

1. Decorate the bag using cookie cutters dipped in paint 

2. Once dry, roll the top of the bag down to hold the bag open 

 Watercolor Basket 

Materials: construction paper, scissors, stapler, paper bags, and watercolor paints 

Preparation: 

based on the age of the children 

Directions: 

1. Decorate the bag using watercolor paints 

2. Once dry, roll the top of the bag down to hold the bag open 

3. Cut a handle and attach 

 Sticker Basket 

Materials: paper bags, stapler, crayons or markers, stickers, pipe cleaners or construction paper 

Preparation: 

based on the age of the children 

Directions: 

1. Children attach stickers to their bags 

2. Decorate with crayons or markers 

3. Attach pipe cleaner handles or cut a handle out of paper and attach 

 Bunny Basket 

Materials: construction paper, scissors, glue, paper bags, markers, pompoms 

Preparation: 

based on the age of the children 

Directions: 

1. Cut large bunny ears and thin whiskers from construction paper 

2. Draw bunny eyes and mouth using markers 

3. Glue ears, pompom nose, whiskers to the face 

4. Cut a handle and attach 

 Child-made Easter Baskets Egg Basket 

Materials: construction paper, scissors, glue, paper bags, and crayons or markers 

Preparation: 

based on the age of the children 

Directions: 

1. Cut large egg shape from construction paper 

2. Decorate the egg shape using crayons or markers 

3. Glue the egg to the front of the bag (if desired, cut the top of the bag to match) 

4. Cut a handle and attach
