Winter Break will be here before you know it, and Stepping Stone School is gearing up to launch our winter program to keep our students’ minds engaged while school is closed for the holidays.

At The Brainery, we will be immersing ourselves in the bygone times of “The Middle Ages.” We will investigate the era of knights and castles through science experiments, critical thinking exercises, engineering activities and a number of other S.T.E.A.M. related exercises. Students will have the chance to design and test a catapult, create a coat of arms, and write and perform a ballad of their own! The children’s learning experience will extend beyond the classroom ­­– they will be singing holiday songs and visiting residents at a local nursing home, as well as going on Field Journeys to local hubs of learning. Be on the lookout for Winter Break Packets later this month, and be sure to fill out and return the permission slips to secure your child’s spot in this one-of-a-kind experience!
